TIMUR granting audience on the occasion of his accession in 1370, 1480's

The Zafarnama of Sultan Husayn Mirza (Fol 83r) held by John Work Garrett Library, John Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, USA

COMMENTS: Timur, wearing a crown and a gold belt, sits on an elegant throne. In front of him, a small stream separates him from the kneeling amirs and noyans.
Unusually in Timurid paintings, two figures are seen from the back.
