Silver Gelatin Photograph

As a photographer, I am a traditionalist. I take my photographs using a large or medium format camera with black and white film (8" x 10", 4" x 5" or 2 1/4"), like all the master photographers that came before me. Then, I hand process each sheet and roll of film to create negatives which will be exposed to light through an enlarger. Instead of digitally manipulating images as most modern photographers do, my process limits me to using hand tools to add highlights and create shadows within the image produced on the silver gelatin paper; often requiring exposures and steps that must be repeated in the exact same way each time in order to produce the same results.
