"Between Two Narratives" reimagines commercial representations of queerness, examining the duality of heterosexual and homosexual relationships through painterly technique and representations of figure. The saturated hues of red and blue amplify the 'pink and blue' colors popularly associated with gender identity. This dichromatic relationship allows for a vibrant juxtaposition between colors, an association that references the expectation to reside within the binary of a heteronormative society. Despite their similarity, the inversion of color and orientation in the dual works signifies the closeness yet separation between sexualities. Genderless forms engage in intimate interaction unbound by societal norms.
