This particular lithographic print made from a stone, attempts to resuscitate a static image by having it move 15 times a minute which is the average breathing rate of an adult. It was drawn from an image of a plaster cast made during the excavation of Pompeii. It demonstrates the evolution from human to image and then resuscitation- a cast made from a void, to a drawing made on a stone, to a print which breathes.
