My mixed media sculpture, You're Okay, Son. I've Got You (Blinded Liberty), intimately explores the theme of the human figure within the context of contemporary art.This piece is a poignant commentary on the interplay between individuals and authority figures.
The blinded youth represents innocence, idealism, encumbered by the weight of societal expectations. The walking hand serves as a symbol of the teachers, clergy, family members, community leaders we often idealize and trust to guide us.
