Against all odds Malcolm X, became a Visionary
Through jail he found Islam. Self discovery and later truth. Against all odds he stood for peace even at cost of his own life.

Born Malcolm Little, the man who would become Malcolm X endured a traumatic childhood scarred by racist violence, his family persecuted by white supremacists and welfare agencies. After an adolescence marked by hustling and prison time, Malcolm experienced a spiritual and political awakening, transforming himself into El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, a devoted Muslim minister and prominent, controversial critic of American racism. As a leading voice of the Nation of Islam and icon of Black pride, power, and self-determination, Malcolm X courageously indicted white oppression and rejected nonviolence for self-defense against racism by “any means necessary.” Though assassinated in 1965 before fully realizing his evolving, inclusive vision for Black liberation, Malcolm X heavily influenced civil rights militancy. His fierce eloquence and grassroots resistance to inequality remains immortalized with the honorific “El-Shabazz,” his legacy carrying the enduring fight for human rights into the 21st century.
