Drawing a bath
Mixed MediA, UV print on bread slice and oil on stitched tangerine skins, 22 x 20 cm

Jacqueline Ito is a mixed-media artist based in London and Hong Kong. She is studying for her BA in fine art at Central Saint Martins (CSM). She has shown in student exhibitions, including an IB visual art exhibit at Discovery College (2020) and at the CSM foundation year exhibit (2021). Jacqueline's work was also featured in Precious Magazine's 81st issue (2019). Her practice surrounds states of impermanence and metamorphosis through the lens of materiality. Rooted in a fascination with organic ephemerality, she aims to explore personal and domestic rituals. These narratives stretch across various techniques such as painting, photography, performance, film, embroidery, sculpture making and poetry. As she continues to craft her practice, Jacqueline strives to enthral the viewer into her in-between world where the mundane meets mythology.
