Russian Migrants , 2024

Russian migrants.

Migration is a common phenomenon all over the world. Some people move to another country in search of a better life, others flee war, and still others have their own reasons.
We moved to Germany, leaving home with our jobs, friends, parents, all the achievements we were so proud of, without knowing the language, without support. Life is starting with a clean slate. We learn to sort garbage, try to hide a lot of suitcases in a small rented apartment, plunge into the world of bureaucracy and waiting, turn the heating to maximum, cram ourselves into an unfamiliar shower instead of a comfortable bathroom. We try to be friendly and open to everything new, but deep down we feel sad for our previous life.
Ordinary migrants. But there is only one thing that distinguishes us, we are children of Russia. A country that has lost the confidence of the world community. We became strangers in our homeland, and remained unaccepted in Europe. But we continue to believe in a bright future, make plans and make new acquaintances. We prove to ourselves and to the world every day that we have the right to our own opinion, to our native culture and to be treated with dignity by others.
