I am Ok

On the Internet, I vividly remember the phrase “Don’t forget your first home.”
These photographs are dedicated to my mother, who suffered mental and physical abuse from my father for 13 years. She faced devaluation of her creativity, her culinary abilities, even her thoughts and statements. The man whom she had called her husband for so long convinced that she should not go to work, her job was to raise children and keep the house clean. And later he blamed her for destroying the family. I am so proud of her that, despite her fears, that day she took, ironed her only dress and went for an interview. Telling herself that she deserves it and has the right. I am proud that she was able to get out of an addictive relationship, having gone through a long path of psychological work. At the same time, she always made my sister and I feel special and loved. You are talented, you are special just because you exist. I love you mum
