I've liked to draw and paint for as long as I can remember, which led me to working as an illustrator, commercial artist and graphic designer for a good part of my life. I especially enjoy the challenge of making my paintings look “real”, but at the same time I want to represent something you’d probably never see in the natural world. The best way I can describe my work would be to call it imaginative realism, fantasy/science fiction or even surrealism. And while it is important for me to create paintings that have meaning and relevance to me, I really hope the viewer might find some personal significance in my work as well.

I admire and enjoy a wide variety of art, both old and new, but I was particularly influenced by the works of more contemporary painters and Illustrators like Salvador Dali, Brom, Rene Magritte, Nicola Verlato, Richard Corben, Frida Kahlo and Frank Frazetta.
