Installation: plastic bottles, table

The world’s oceans are infested with plastics. Every year, the equivalent of Qatar surface is added to the oceans. Consequently, plastics are spreading in the oceans, choking marine wildlife, damaging soils, poisoning ground waters, and can cause serious human health impacts including infertility.
Ingesting plastics is totally unacceptable and should not be tolerated in any way. States and companies are failing to bring alternatives. Each water bottle liter contains more than 110,000 particles of plastic. And consumers keep purchasing water in plastic bottles, eating plastics at the same time and damaging their health.
Our piece of art demonstrates how nature is recycling plastics. We turned a plastic bottle into a representation of what is happening in the ocean and making visible plastic particles.
Have a drink, cheers to a plastic island!
