TITLE | Neo-Chinese style , YEAR | 2024

The photographs produced by this group strive to showcase the Neo-Chinese style, a design aesthetic that incorporates elements of traditional Chinese culture, creativity, and a focus on lines and layers. This is achieved through the selection of unisex garments featuring the traditional Chinese red-crowned crane pattern. Additionally, the symbolic implications of red crown crane such as wisdom in Chinese culture and freedom due to its ability of flying are used for conveying the narrative of a Chinese woman seeking to break free from the mental cage of obedience and femininity imposed by traditional society.
