NYC Street 1
During my recent trip, I developed a consistent practice of keeping my point-and-shoot Olympus camera readily available to capture the perfect moments of my subjects. My photographic series titled 'NYC Street' showcases the renowned chaos and beauty of New York City, captured through the use of black and white film. I find that employing point-and-shoot cameras helps me to focus more intently on the composition of the subject, rather than constantly adjusting my camera settings based on the surrounding environment. As a result, I capture a rawer and more unique decisive moment.
I have a passion for photography and art, but I am also interested in the history of art and the process of curating in organisations. This is why I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in art history and Curating at Monash University.
