She is a mother and grandmother carrying sacks of plastic bottles she has collected the whole rainy morning because its her source of income to support her family. She does this every morning in Naalya a Kampala surburb.

One day on my way to work, I saw a lady carrying sacks of bottles, I stopped and asked her do you not have children or someone to help you carry these heavy sacks?

Annette was kind enough to tell me about her work and family. On another day, I met Sarah and then later on Hajjat.

These women work hard for their children and grandchildren and their contribution to the environment should be noticed. They should be encouraged and paid for their service as exemplary citizens of Uganda. That is was inspired this story and work.
