An oil painting on excess human affairs, how light pollution leads to the loss in the beauty of the nightscape. Inspired by Van Gogh’s Post-Impressionist nightscape paintings of ‘Starry Night’ and ‘Starry Night Over the Rhône’, and my own photography, the oxymoron of the complete blackness of the sky contrasts the reflections of the stars in the water that used to be.
