Anne Waggot Knott 2

A visual artist and geographer, Anne spotlights human-environment relationships primarily through temporary installations, video sketchbooks, sculpture, printmaking, semi-structured conversations, and networks.

By finding and exploring critical points of disconnection - with our surroundings and each other - she helps us reconnect and move forward. She uses art to extend herself into the cracks, deftly connecting people and places, setting the scene for change.

As well as developing her own conceptual work she delivers carefully chosen engagement projects with strong potential for impact. These are usually with peripheral rural communities, often collaborating with scientists and environmental specialists.

She also undertakes creative consultancy, supporting creative placemaking and diversity of thought in organisations outside the arts sector.

Reciprocity with Nature is important to her. She collaborates with Nature as an equal co-creator, asking permission and giving back. Using repurposed and recycled materials is her way of putting the environment first.
