Spring arrives II
50 x 50 cm (h x w)
450 GBP
Acrylic on canvas

I am a painter, craftmaker & art trainer, based in Liverpool.

I studied Fine Art at Manchester University and Glasgow School of Art, and Fashion &
Textiles at Middlesex University (Cat Hill Arts Campus). I worked briefly as a fashion
designer before returning to Middlesex University to complete a PGCE in Secondary Art
Teaching with Special Needs Education, after which I worked in secondary teaching. I was
part of the JC2000 Millennium initiative and 'cre8.ed' teams (freelance artists, musicians,
actors & dancers) teaching values, citizenship, and religious education through the creative
arts.

For many years I have facilitated and led creative workshops in various settings, including
schools, churches, theatres, health facilities and retreat centres. Most recently I have
ventured into leading art-based retreats.

I spend most of my days creating art, which leads to a variety of different styles which can be
seen on my website. maggiehilditch.net Now I am inspired by the colours of spring, using
texture and colour to form paintings in an abstract/realistic manner. I have used several
different mediums over the years, at present I am using acrylic.
