Aline R. is a self-taught artist based near Paris. She mostly uses pencils, dry pastels and acrylic paint, but has recently started to use digital media. Her work aims at finding balance and harmony while portraying duality, as life can be challenging and amazing. In 2020, during lockdown, she created an acrylic painting of two trees projecting their shadows on a river, forming a ‘sunset butterfly’. It reflected how freedom had become an illusion at that time. It could also depict a hope for change, renewal and achievement. From this last idea, she imagined these four artworks, the "Time Flies" series, which can be a metaphor for creativity (or any other process), but can also reflect anybody's life(time).
