Emory Everhart embarked on his military journey in 1985 when he joined the National Guard, later transitioning to the Air Force in 1987. Motivated by a deep sense of duty to his country, he trained as a medic and found himself serving in Desert Storm during the Iraq conflict. Despite grappling with intense fear, Emory persevered, driven by the desire to return home to care for his then ten-year-old son, who has since grown to the age of 31.
