Marvin White, a high school graduate of 1981, enlisted in the army in 1982, embarking on a journey that would shape his life profoundly. Serving in Korea at K-16, he honed his skills and commitment to duty. Transitioning to the National Guard after discharge, he found himself deployed to Iraq in 2003, a pivotal moment marked by confusion and uncertainty.

Recalling the chaos of his initial days in Kuwait, White vividly recounts the disorientation of his convoy's journey into Iraq, navigating without roadmaps. Amidst the relentless demands of 24-7 watch, fear took a backseat as he and his fellow soldiers were trained to exude confidence, maintain composure, and remain ever ready. Despite their preparedness, the specter of PTSD loomed large, manifesting in moments where life flashed before his eyes.
