This is Melisa Di Giandomenico, Davi's wife in 2012.
She was pursuing a master's degree in human resources at Florida International University.
Her journey took an unexpected turn when she visited a local hairdresser, whose family had a rich legacy in opera. Intrigued by Melisa's aspirations to become a singer, the hairdresser introduced her to her son, David Di Giandomenico.

Instantly drawn to each other, Melisa and David found themselves married within the year. Their relationship blossomed amidst David's duties as a staff sergeant stationed in Georgia, where he trained fellow sergeants for missions in Afghanistan. However, their courtship was marked by tragedy when one of David's trainees took his own life.

In the aftermath of this heartbreaking event, Melisa stood by David's side, providing unwavering support as he grappled with the shock and guilt of his comrade's suicide. Together, they navigated the complexities of military life and the profound impact it can have on returning veterans.
