Hulya was born in Diyarbakir, Turkey, where she spent her formative years until the age of 11. Subsequently, her family relocated to Istanbul, where she continued her education and embarked on her career in the renowned Haute Couture Designer center. Over time, she honed her skills and became a distinguished tailor.

Later, alongside her sister, Hulya immigrated to the United States. She gained valuable experience working at esteemed fashion establishments such as Lillie Rubin, Lord & Taylor, and Saks gown company, where she dedicated six years of her career. Despite being a Muslim woman who holds Islam dear to her heart as a peaceful religion, Hulya personally opts not to wear the headscarf, while her sister chooses to do so.
