I work in tandem with my subject through digital photography and mixed media. Often my subjects are friends and people with a close connection to me. I approach dance and movement with still vision to study how the figure interacts with its environment and the people around them. I aim to communicate a story from deep inward feelings brought to the surface through different bodies and interpretations, one affecting the other. While the dancer improvises I am capturing moments of physical movement and poses; manipulations of the body and its surroundings. I am inspired by my subjects, emotional connection, and the natural environment.
