Nerreter intense and hypersensibles portraits are driven by the ambition to brighten and make visible the unseen darker corners of life. To show beauty in the most dire life situations , give worth to the overlooked. She works mainly in black and white . Shade and light intertwine to tell a story of the trials and tribulations in life. Eyes play a huge toll on carrying the emotions Nerreter wants to provoke.She works with mixed medium , pencil, Graphit, marker and paint and pen. Her works come framed in ornate beautiful frames to add even more „ worth“ to her portraits she d see pends between 30-5o hours on mist portraits., embracing her muses and devoting all her time to them. Ageism , mental health and domestic violence , homeless crisis and loss . She wants to show that we are all worth something , that we matter and we deserve to be seen. In her series „ Protect the Past to save the Future“ she created portraits to embrace the elderly that had been let down during the pandemic. Her latest body of work is a series of self portraits.
