As a sand-laden wind gusts through Beco camp in Baidoa, Somalia, a mother clutches her baby tightly. Baidoa’s population has surged in recent years with the influx of people who, like this mother and her baby, have been displaced by drought and hunger. More than 600 temporary sites, collectively sheltering over 640,000 people, now dot the arid landscape. World Vision, which has operated in Somalia since 1993, is assisting displaced families in Somalia with life-saving aid, including vouchers for food, nutrition programs, and more.
