Embracing nature can improve one's self perception and feeling at home on one's skin. Inspired by body painter Emma Hack, I tried to reclaim my own body by photographing close up parts of my rough skin which I often feel insecure about. Taken in a fuchsia pigmented bathtub, the photos symbolize a feminine vulnerability and acceptance. Together with the hand painted leopard print the artwork acts as a reminder to myself that my natural skin condition is a beautiful distinctive and unique pattern.
