My first attempt at abstract art, this piece depicts my tumultuous emotions and psyche. While inspired by abstract art as a whole, I drew most of my inspiration from Wassily Kandinsky’s ‘Several Circles’, particularly the aspect of various shapes overlapping each other to create an interesting visual appearance. I used these watercolour techniques: flat wash, wet on wet, wet on dry, dry brush and pull in colour to create interesting textures and patterns.
