Idealization and reality - two very different things, but can often feel interchangeable. We all want a family that is a certain way, but sometimes reality doesn't measure up. Despite the vibrant colors of the pristine furniture-store display, the ideal doesn't truly exist, although it does draw us in. On one hand, sometimes a perfect world can be comforting, but when we wake back up, it's not easy to come to terms with the loneliness we feel.
