Mileva , 2022
200 x 80 cm (h x w)
Acrylic on canvas

I designed this piece in honour of Mileva Marić, known as Einstein’s first wife. Her story still remains untold by many while her husband’s fame flows throughout the globe. Mileva, great mathematician and physicist, was of immense help and responsible for a number of Einstein’s findings, but now lies without her deserved recognition. I wanted to picture her young and flowing mind as an amazing woman, in all of her splendour, without forgetting to paint her discoveries as blank and forgotten.
