I'm Going Bald , 2023
35 x 25 cm (h x w)
Acrylic on canvas

This piece speaks upon hair as a mode of identity and the subsequent take on the effects of losing hair in the shower as a loss of oneself. This piece holds a sense of whimsy, with a cartoonish woman’s face made from lost strands of hair on a shower wall. It also speaks to a common habit, placing fallen hairs on the wall of the shower to avoid clogging the drain. Symbolically, this piece represents times of change and the respective washing away of old aspects of identity.
