This abstract painting is meant to serve as an authentic representation of the ideals of the modern Christian church. With inspiration ranging from Renaissance depictions of Christ by Michelangelo to the works of Brazilian Candido Portinari. The abstract nature of faith and belonging in it led me in my design choices. Through this piece I hope it allows my audience to further contemplate the all encompassing nature of God’s character and the Body of Christ.
