Here we are in 2020. Being an amateur crystal hunter at the time, a friend invited me to Grindelwald to discover the famous “Pyritschiefer” from Schwarze Lütschine. An invitation and a sharing that would radically change my life. What followed was the discovery of many beautiful stones that can be found in Switzerland, a true national heritage offering infinite variations of colors and designs too little known to the general public, and cut by me in order to reveal their hidden beauty to the eyes of all. A true, most devouring passion. First of all, I worked them into jewelry and into larger stones being rather intended for collections, creating stars of admiration in the eyes of my clients and connoisseurs, and already bringing me success and recognition. All in a spirit of proximity and respect for humans and nature. But the desire to create something new, and to stand out even more than I already am, meant that inspiration fell on me at the end of last year, and with it the desire to create something something more artistic was born. Sculptures ! For this collection of Stockhorn Lazulite sculptures, a rare and legendary stone of which I was able to make a historic discovery in 2022 on a famous mountain in the Zermatt region, I wanted, among other inspirations, to combine nobility and rusticity. , weight and lightness, in order to create an alchemy and a most charming floating effect which would delight the mind and soul of the most demanding, creating a most captivating effect of impossible contradictions, and in some way representing my course of life. A real alchemy therefore, with the idea of ​​representing the transformation of the lead that our existences can go through into gold, thus composing with a beautiful note of hope so necessary in this period of crises. Works of art combining driftwood left raw and varnished with one of the rarest, noble and exclusive stones in the world, namely Lazulite from Stockhorn in Zermatt.
