This artwork depicts the deers of the Taymyr Peninsula. Taimyr is the northernmost inland part of the Eurasian continent, the central Arctic. This population is unique on a global scale – it is the largest migratory population of mammals, traveling more than 3,000 kilometers over the course of a year.
With this art piece, Anastasia wanted to draw attention to the problem of conservation of the species, to show the power and pristine beauty of wildlife. The sunset rays color the cold blue ice in bright colors, highlighting that even in such cold places there is room for life, it is vibrant and governed by its own laws.
