Han Huang (723–787 CE) was a Prime Minister. His paintings are known for their realistic portrayal of rural and agricultural life, reflecting the economic and social activities of the time. His works are characterized by their simplicity, attention to detail, and the use of fine lines and subtle colors to depict natural scenes and animals. This is the oldest scroll painting painted on paper, rather than silk.
