CATEGORY | Accessory design

MATERIAL | Marine fibers and thread
TECHNIQUE | Mixed technique bead stringing

Beads are among the oldest human ornaments in the world. They are used for repetitions of prayers, chants or mantras in various religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Shintoism, Islam, Christianity and the Orthodox Church.
The Neptune necklace work is composed with balls of marine fibers from the “posidonia” plant. Their round shape is due to the marine currents and improves the quality of the water because when they move along the seabed they accumulate a large amount of plastics inside.
The installation consists of four necklaces as amulets for prayer and protection against pollution of the seas and oceans.
