Artist Statement:
With deliberate elongation of the neck and intricate incorporation of black hairstyles, these works genuinely glorify black beauty. They serve as a conduit for elevation and empowerment, offering homage to the strength and identity of African Americans.
My ultimate aspiration is to craft a piece of history defined by its goodness, devoid of the shadows that have plagued African-American history. These sculptures stand as beacons of pure celebration, encapsulating the breathtaking beauty of the black community and inviting all to partake in this remarkable, untarnished purity.

ID:
This is a photograph of a ceramic sculpture depicting an African American woman. The sculpture is a rich brown terracotta color. She has an elongated neck adorned with stacked rings that cover the entirety of the base of the sculpture up to her eyes. The faces are partially covered because African American features are so distinct that any individual characteristic could be recognized, and they are visually more appealing with added texture.
