SDG 5 Gender Equality
130 x 130 cm (h x w)

“To achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.”

Through various art forms MAP has facilitated embodied and performative re-framings of girls. Whether through drumming as with the Gira Ingoma – One Drum Per Girl project in Rwanda, or through drawing and image theatre, such as in Kyrgyzstan, MAPs’ projects aim to address gender stereotypes, and discriminatory practices and perceptions, through engaging girls in non-traditional cultural activities.
