Fishermen , 1341
Ink on Paper

As one travels through this landscape, sixteen fishermen appear one by one. But only four of them are actually fishing. The rest are either sleeping, drifting, or simply enjoying the scenery on their boats. Each fisherman angler focuses on his own thoughts and affairs, paying no attention to his neighbors. The artist accompanies each figure with a short poem.
