Vera Jochum, fine art
I am an artist living in Germany and my paintings have been shown in several solo exhibitions nationwide and internationally. In my art I process what is on my mind as well as my personal feelings and also my chaos. I describe my artistic practice as a constant process of construction and destruction, creating new perspectives in each layer until each work reaches its final state.
Stylistically, I can be categorised as an abstract expressionist, but I don't commit myself to this. Whatever inspires, stimulates and occupies me can be found in my paintings. Textures, colours, shapes, movements and spaces - I capture all of this in my paintings.

The painting "Far beyond infinity" is a fascinating example of abstract art that achieves a special effect through subtle colour and depth effects. At first glance, the painting appears to depict a monochrome white surface, but a closer look reveals deeper layers and subliminal colours that cast a spell over the viewer.

On the right-hand side of the painting is a coloured surface in shades of red, blue and gold. This cloud-like structure is remotely reminiscent of a starry nebula viewed from an infinite distance and lends the painting a mystical and infinite dimension. The title "Far beyond infinity" refers to this area, which appears like a window to the stars and harbours something mysterious and incomprehensible.

The painting was created on stretched canvas using the palette knife technique, a loose brushstroke and subsequent washes. The layered structure gives the painting an impressive depth, which lends the individual areas a special vibrancy and complexity.

As with all abstract works of art, the interpretation of the painting is left to the viewer. Everyone can allow their own feelings and thoughts to flow into the work and thereby create a personal connection to "Far beyond infinity".
