Haiku = playful verse
Pyrography = fire writing

I do haiku. From the page to the stage to the studio to the gallery, I am committed to a 21st-century American reimagining of this venerable poetic form that maintains a traditional 5-7-5 structure while employing a distinctly contemporary style borne of the cultural moment out of which the poems — and I — arise. My visual work begins with these original haiku, which I then burn by hand into bespoke pieces of wood in a unique form of radical self-publishing.
