Pageant of the Masters re-creation of “Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Park” by Diego Rivera for the 2016 production, “Partners.”

Diego Rivera painted himself as a child in this painting, standing behind him, a portrait of his wife and fellow artist, Frida Kahlo. Pageant volunteers playing these roles in the re-creation are also young children, ages 9 and 13.
