Wednesday night is the busiest night at The Last Jar, a traditional irish pub on Queensberry St, North Melbourne. It’s the live irish music night when musicians come in from everywhere to join in “the craic”.
When this all came to a stop due to Lockdown, publican Chris Fitzgerald kept the craic alive as a lonely solo fiddler live-streaming from the pub every Wednesday evening. Over time the live-stream has collected many of the players to play together in isolation with lots of conversation between the jigs and reels.
