200 x 100 x 5 cm (h x w x d)
In 2003 a very violent Civil War began in the western region of Sudan known as Darfur. Since then, between 200, 000 and 400, 000 civilians have been killed by the Sudanese government and the Janjaweed militia. An estimated 2.5 million people were displaced and live in refugee camps. Despite years of peace negotiations sponsored by the United Nations and the African Union, no significant agreements have been reached.
