Students are introduced to the work of Russian artist Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky. We took inspiration from his work Concentric Circles, 1913 and created a landscape. Students were introduced to the concept of concentric circles through which they compared sizes of the circles and used the concept to create foliage for their trees. They were also introduced to the use of brayers to apply paint and create their background.
