BOUNDARIES
The traces of life and the lives of others are presented in these artworks. They simultaneously present the totality of life and specificity of particular experiences – the memory, injustice, and struggles of women/femmes.
In these works, the feminine is a framework that encapsulates the struggle of all minorities, that presents questions to us in sincere, and emotionally vulnerable ways. These works also seek to connect the realities of existence with a critical eye at the social and political paradigms they were made under, like many traditions in contemporary art, they voraciously seek freedom in their creative processes.
FRONTERAS
Las huellas de la vida y las vidas de otros se presentan en estas obras de arte. Simultáneamente presentan la totalidad de la vida y la especificidad de experiencias particulares: la memoria, la injusticia y las luchas de las mujeres / femmes.
En estas obras, lo femenino es un marco que encapsula la lucha de todas las minorías, que nos plantea interrogantes de manera sincera y emocionalmente vulnerable. Estas obras también buscan conectar las realidades de la existencia con una mirada crítica de los paradigmas sociales y políticos bajo los que fueron elaborados, como muchas tradiciones del arte contemporáneo, buscan vorazmente la libertad en sus procesos creativos.
