Kathy Jones was born in San Francisco. It is no wonder that her influences come from the Bay Area Figurative painters. She enjoys the prospect of never knowing where the painting will end up, which allows for a process that is both exploratory and provocative. Educated at Stanford University, Kathy has participated in a variety of involvements, ranging from administrative positions at UCI and Georgetown University, teaching art classes, all the way to involvements supporting the further development of the Festival of Arts by being on the Board of Directors.
