Festival of Arts Purchase Award
FOAPAC #2010.218
Tom Lamb was raised on the East Coast, educated in Connecticut and Rhode Island, receiving his BFA at Hartford Art School and an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. He has travelled extensively throughout the world, focusing his concerns on environmental awareness. Whether he is photographing marks on the surface of the planet from a helicopter or face to face with a panda from China, the resulting image reflects his preoccupation with making the viewer more aware of the threatened resources. He has taught at the college level, is currently on the Board of Directors at the Festival of Arts, and has been exhibiting at the Festival since 1991. He resides in Laguna Beach.
