Vinita Voogd was born in New Delhi, India. She studied art at College of Art in New Delhi. Early in life she was certain that she wanted to pursue a creative life, announcing at 6 years old that she was going to be an artist. Moving to California in 1981, she went to UCI where she studied printmaking with the acclaimed artist, John Paul Jones. Vinita has taught printmaking at Saddleback and Golden West Colleges, as well as numerous workshops in the U.S. and abroad.
