Confined (2020) - This painting was created at the start of the pandemic situation. Being confined inside our walls…we needed to stay with those chains in our ankles in order to keep ourselves and others safe … In our boxes, we watch this war against an invisible enemy spreading death everywhere... Waking up and starting the day watching in our small box several military trucks taking bodies without life, all together, to the same place... Thinking that the same trucks will be filled again tomorrow... The reddest blood is the death invading our eyes on the daily basis... Being confined in quarantine made us think about how fragile and tenuous the meaning of life is! These feelings of sadness and fragility made me sad but drove me to paint compulsively…
