The six-part painting series "Hercules after Carracci" from 2014 shows mainly figures in a jungle-like environment with wild animals. The colorful colors convey the dangerous fight of man against nature in clear forms resembling screen-printing technology. While the forms are usually not outlined with contours, but connect freely to each other, captivating the depictions by their nevertheless narrative manner. The militant situations seem to be based on a story, which is nevertheless predominantly formulated by the imagination of the beholder, who is particularly stimulated by the excerpts of the situations. The cheerful colors are in contradiction to the dangerous situations of the fight between lion and man, while they correspond to the colors of the flora and fauna in corresponding latitudes. The viewer is thus amazed, which resembles that of an illustrated travelogue about adventure in exotic countries.
